In a bizarre crossover event that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Uncovered

According to the official release, "An unusual meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and monstrous changes reverberate through the darkness." The plot presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden group.

The questline focuses on "bizarre tests and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Content

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an unique katana alongside several objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
